Director, HR Business Partner

Boehringer Ingelheim is a global pharmaceutical company seeking a Director, Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Global Supply, Global Quality, and Global Facilities & Engineering. The role leads people strategy, talent management, organizational effectiveness, change management, workforce planning, and development of HR Business Partners supporting U.S. manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities:

• Partners with the business leaders to drive strategic human resources initiatives that support business goals
• Executes Talent Management Process including workforce planning and strategic human capital planning, succession planning and development planning within client group
• Drives business leaders to focus on increasing top talent and differentiate development of employees
• Functions as an internal consultant to leaders in achieving business goals
• Advises and guides management on organizational effectiveness, especially the alignment of processes, systems, and people
• Partners with business leaders to lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring thoughtful planning, effective communication, successful implementation, and meaningful employee involvement throughout the change journey
• Drives performance consulting: including ensuring expectations align with business strategy, aligning and differentiating ratings and compensation across the client group
• Champions the culture
• Collaborates with HR Shared Services and HR Centers of Excellence to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs, processes, and employee services across the organization
• Leads and develops direct reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR Management or similar discipline required
• Minimum of ten (10) years Human Resources experience required with at least four (4) years in a HRBP/Generalist capacity
• Demonstrated change leadership, internal consulting, organization and talent assessment and development skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate and build relationships at all levels and to link business objectives with HR activities
• Proven ability to operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on HR leader
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, ideally within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or other complex operational environments
• Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Committed to continuous improvement
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
• Master's degree preferred
• People leader or project leadership preferred
