Project Manager – Global FSHD Innovation Hub

The FSHD Society is a research-focused patient advocacy organization dedicated to accelerating the development of treatments and a cure for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy. The Project Manager will support strategic partnerships and internal projects for the Global FSHD Innovation Hub, managing project execution, stakeholder relationships, research initiatives, clinical trial readiness, and partnership growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day execution of partnered and internal project management in an organized and communicative manner, including tracking timelines, budgets, and potential risks
• Build and maintain trusting and effective relationships with biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare and non-profit organizations to support research, clinical trial readiness, and patient engagement initiatives
• Work closely with internal scientific, research and patient engagement teams to execute collaborative projects, keeping stakeholders aligned and informed
• Develop and maintain project tracking systems and status reporting
• Support the development of customized proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to explore and secure partnerships, work closely with the Managing Director to secure new partnerships
• Identify areas of growth opportunities for new and existing research projects and Global FSHD Innovation Hub offerings that accelerate drug development, clinical trial readiness, and data-sharing initiatives
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and strategic meetings as required to support project progress and promote engagement and collaboration with external partners

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's or graduate degree in business, life sciences, or a related field
• • Minimum 2 years of experience in project or program management or strategic partnerships within research-focused nonprofit, biotech, pharma, academic, or related organization
• • Proven ability to effectively execute and independently manage high-value projects
• • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) to streamline workflows and cross-functional communication to varied stakeholders, with a willingness to learn and adopt new digital technologies
• • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
• • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a mission-driven organization
• • Passion for patient advocacy and improving the lives of those affected by FSHD or other rare diseases
• • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• • Must be able to see and read fine print. Employee will have close visual contact with a computer monitor constantly
• • Must be able to communicate utilizing a telephone
• • Must be willing and able to learn all necessary computer functions
• • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift boxes weighing at least 20 lbs., will sit for long periods of time, and may use repetitive wrist and hand motions involved in sorting and handling documents. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms
