Vice President of Project Management

Advalab Scientific is a laboratory technology company specializing in laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, and diagnostic solutions. The Vice President of Project Management will lead the project management organization, establish scalable frameworks, oversee strategic portfolios, and ensure cross-functional initiatives are delivered in alignment with business priorities, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the global project management strategy aligned with corporate objectives and business priorities
• Lead the project management organization and establish consistent standards, methodologies, processes, and delivery practices
• Oversee strategic, cross-functional, and high-priority projects from planning and initiation through completion
• Establish project scopes, objectives, milestones, schedules, resource plans, budgets, and delivery expectations
• Develop portfolio and project prioritization frameworks to ensure resources are focused on the highest-value initiatives
• Coordinate project planning and execution across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and regional teams
• Establish project governance processes that improve visibility, accountability, communication, and execution consistency
• Monitor project progress, dependencies, resource utilization, schedules, budgets, and expected outcomes
• Identify project challenges, execution gaps, resource constraints, and potential delivery delays, and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Lead executive project reviews and provide clear updates on progress, priorities, resource requirements, and business outcomes
• Develop standardized project reporting, dashboards, status updates, and management information for senior leadership
• Improve project forecasting, capacity planning, resource allocation, and portfolio visibility
• Drive process improvement, automation, and the adoption of modern project management platforms and collaboration tools
• Establish effective communication practices across project teams, business units, and geographic regions
• Support organizational transformation, business expansion, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives through structured project execution
• Promote consistent project-management practices and knowledge sharing across the organization
• Develop project management capabilities through training, mentoring, coaching, and professional development
• Manage project management resources, operating budgets, external partners, and service providers where appropriate
• Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and ensure project priorities remain aligned with business objectives
• Lead, mentor, and develop project management leaders and high-performing project teams
• Report portfolio performance, major milestones, resource requirements, project outcomes, and improvement opportunities to executive leadership

Requirements:

• 15–20 years of progressive experience in project management, program management, portfolio management, operations, transformation, or related fields, including significant experience in senior leadership roles
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
• Proven experience leading enterprise-level project portfolios and complex cross-functional initiatives
• Strong knowledge of project planning, portfolio management, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, performance tracking, and delivery management
• Demonstrated ability to establish scalable project management frameworks, methodologies, processes, and reporting structures
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple business functions, regions, or markets
• Strong understanding of project management platforms, collaboration tools, reporting systems, automation, and data-driven project analytics
• Proven record of improving project delivery efficiency, resource utilization, planning accuracy, and operational consistency
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and maintain clear execution standards in a dynamic business environment
• Executive presence with strategic thinking, operational discipline, accountability, collaboration, and strong leadership capabilities
• MBA, PMP, or equivalent qualification preferred
