Senior Cloud Enginee

Engagency for Finance is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for its platforms and services. The role focuses on secure cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, performance and cost optimization, high availability, application integration, database and storage management, CI/CD support, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Architecting secure cloud environments
• Automating infrastructure deployment
• Optimizing performance and cost
• Ensuring high availability of production systems
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate application workloads with cloud services
• Manage databases and storage solutions
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Monitoring system health
• Troubleshooting issues
• Implementing best practices for security and compliance
• Contributing to technical documentation and process improvements

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native services
• Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills such as network configuration, security, automation (e.g., IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation), and system monitoring
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Candidates should possess Linux skills, including administration, shell scripting, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Candidates should possess Databases skills, with experience in relational and/or NoSQL databases, backup strategies, and performance optimization
• Relevant qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a track record of owning complex cloud projects from design through implementation are highly valued
• Additional beneficial skills include experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), security best practices, observability tools, and working with remote, cross-functional teams
