Senior Project Manager- Strategic Programs

Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. The company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medium-voltage solutions projects from inception through completion, managing cost, schedule, quality, technical performance, risks, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion
• Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s)
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project execution
• Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status
• Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Proactive Risk identification and Mitigation
• Manage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects
• Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
• 5+ years of experience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfolios
• 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Project
• 3+ year of working with multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics
• Must have a valid US Driver's License
• Must have a PMP certification
• Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Project management or engineering internship or related work experience in Power distribution industry
• Basic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications
• Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within project
• Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers
• Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customer
• Demonstrated ability in contract and change management
