EPC Project Manager - Remote

Rexel USA is a distributor of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication, and related supplies in the United States. The EPC Project Manager manages complex construction projects, including materials, orders, shipments, customer relationships, vendor coordination, project schedules, and communication. The role also focuses on project profitability, inventory efficiency, safety requirements, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of onsite high profile/complex construction projects that require a high level of product knowledge
• Help establish KPI’s specific to each project as well as establish performance tracking methods, project dash boards, and project issue trackers
• Communicate to the customer, expedite OS&Ds (over, short & damaged) and resolve customer issues promptly
• Read through all Purchase Orders to get an understanding of requirements and makes sure terms and conditions are correct
• Works with sales and vendors to obtain additional margin when possible
• Coordinate with vendors, customers and sales teams on pricing, order placement, claims and returned goods, and account management to ensure we are meeting customer expectations
• Expedite backorders to maximize fill rates and customer satisfaction
• Work closely with customer project team, internal staff, and procurement teams to maximize inventory efficiency and reduce excess. Work with vendors to create project specific programs to help mitigate inventory excess
• Ensure that all project site safety requirements and protocols are established and met
• Determine vendors and purchase requirements looking for additional pricing advantages and product substitution opportunities to substantially improve the overall profitability of the project
• Manage the delivery schedule, product quality, information updates and back charge
• Proactively seek alternative methods to deliver the project on time and within budget
• Provide timely price quotations, requotes, and/or proposals
• Develop relationships with customer, strategic suppliers, and vendors
• Coordinate with project team for documentation requirements such as O&M manuals, Test Reports, submittal packages, and Certificates of Compliance. Establish cadence calls with internal and external project teams to track performance
• May provided training and guidance to entry level Project Managers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• • 7+ years of quotation, project management, or customer service experience
• • 5 + years of experience in the electrical industry
• • High School or GED - Required
• • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and peers
• • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
• • Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be self-motivated and enthusiastic about the business
• • Must possess the capacity to function effectively and multi-task in a demanding and time sensitive environment
• • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills
• • Must be analytical and able to solve problems
