Senior Product Manager, Control Studio

Instacart is a grocery technology company that helps customers access groceries and household goods while enabling retailers to build online commerce experiences. The Senior Product Manager will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for tools that let retailers create customized storefront experiences using code editing, AI prompting, and third-party integrations. The role partners with enterprise retailers, sales, engineering, design, data, and other teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-ready platform solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Own the long term vision, strategy, and roadmap for enabling retailers to build custom experiences into their storefronts, giving them immense control quickly, safely, and within guardrails
• Build a code editor that enables retailers to customize placements, accelerated by AI through text and image based prompts
• Define the right balance between retailer flexibility and platform coherence — enabling meaningful brand differentiation while preserving conversion and other core value we provide
• Enable increasingly complex retailer add ons and interaction with third party tools

Requirements:

• 8+ years of B2B product management or similar experience
• Strong experience operating at the intersection of product and go-to-market, working closely with enterprise sales, marketing, and customer success
• Proven ability to build trust with executives, internally and externally
• Strong leadership skills — able to guide large, multidisciplinary teams toward shared outcomes across Product, Engineering, Data, Design, and GTM
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex product problems across a wide product surface with high ambiguity
• Strong product vision and communication skills — able to envision how grocery and e-commerce will evolve over the next three years, translate near-term asks into scalable platform offerings, and layer in emerging technologies to go beyond incremental improvements
• Proven customer and product strategy ability:
  a) Build trust with external customers
  b) Identify needs and craft complex platform solutions
  c) Rally internal teams to make high-stakes tradeoffs under ambiguity and tight deadlines
• Fluent in both product intuition and data: able to assess value propositions for both retailers and their end customers, balancing qualitative insights and quantitative impact
• Experience with AI-accelerated creation tools — using text/image prompts to help users generate or customize UI, content, or code
• 2+ years of involvement with sales / consulting or customer discovery with senior executives
