Senior Business Systems Analyst - Healthcare Claims - Remote

NTT DATA is a business and technology services company serving organizations through enterprise technology and industry solutions. The company is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to analyze healthcare claims processes, define system requirements, and support technology solution delivery. The role partners with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and end users across Agile healthcare application initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business users, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business needs, operational processes, and desired outcomes
• Conduct needs analysis and requirements gathering for application development and enhancement initiatives
• Analyze current business processes and operating procedures to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements
• Translate business needs into clear, detailed, and actionable system requirements
• Define functional requirements through use cases, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and other supporting documentation
• Work with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives
• Participate throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through development, testing, and implementation
• Collaborate with technology teams to design practical solutions for complex healthcare business processes
• Work closely with developers to clarify requirements, answer questions, and resolve issues during implementation
• Partner with QA and testing teams to support test planning, defect analysis, validation, and resolution
• Gather feedback from end users and stakeholders and incorporate that feedback into solution enhancements
• Support the development of user and system documentation, including functional specifications, process documentation, and user guides
• Apply strong knowledge of health plan operations and the healthcare claims lifecycle to business and technology solutions
• Support solutions involving government healthcare programs, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Analyze complex business processes and relationships across multiple applications and systems
• Identify dependencies, gaps, and impacts across business processes and technology solutions
• Work effectively within Scrum and/or Kanban Agile environments
• Create, refine, and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as required
• Independently manage assigned work, proactively resolve issues, and consistently deliver commitments on schedule

Requirements:

• • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role supporting application development
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, business/process analysis, functional documentation, and systems analysis
• 7+ years of experience in health plan environments, with significant experience supporting the healthcare claims lifecycle
• 3+ years of experience working with government health plans, including Medicare and/or Medicaid
• 3+ years of experience designing or supporting technology solutions for health plans
• 3+ years of experience developing and supporting User Stories and working with QA/testing teams to analyze and resolve defects
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and/or Kanban
• 2+ years of experience working with relational databases, including scripting and data analysis using Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical and functional leadership within a project or delivery team
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use available resources to resolve issues and keep work moving forward
• **Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, methodologies, or tools
• Experience working across IT disciplines such as software development, operations, infrastructure, and service management
• Experience supporting large, complex healthcare applications or enterprise-scale transformation initiatives
