Project Manager - Freelance

Burrell Communications Group is a communications company centered on researching, amplifying, and celebrating culture. The Freelance Project Manager will serve as a strategic operational partner, coordinating cross-functional teams to plan, manage, and execute marketing projects, campaigns, timelines, budgets, and workflows in a fast-paced remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Brings structure to workflow and drives forward momentum on scopes and projects
• Identifies ways to improve operational efficiency and connects the dots across teams, timelines and systems
• Partners with account leads to define and understand campaign/project scope, goals, and performance metrics
• Develops, manages, and updates project status, workflows, timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure clarity and consistency in entity deliverables and timelines
• Works with department leads to assign tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables for all campaigns and projects
• Manages client and internal teams’ expectations and timelines while communicating changes/dependencies promptly to internal and external team members
• Drives teams to move in sync to final delivery and leads internal project meetings/touchpoints to ensure there’s structure, clarity and continuity to workflow
• Balances health of a scope or project by evaluating utilization, budgets and operational efficiencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, and/or related field(s)
• 5+ years of related, client-facing industry experience managing and facilitating large-scale, complex projects to meet sometimes aggressive timelines
• Experience in contributing to and executing national marketing campaigns across various channels (broadcast, print, digital, social, experiential, etc)
• Must be able to effectively develop and communicate workflow charts that align with overarching marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics
• Experience in managing efficient and high-performance-driven project management processes in a fast-paced B2C environment, preferably in retail, CPG, and digital sectors, to drive business growth and improved efficiencies
• Strong leadership and client/internal relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated capability to manage complex projects and achieve results promptly and within budget
• Proven ability to influence the efficiency and quality of work, delivering a stronger performance and contributing to a stronger client relationship
• Proven success in managing, collaborating, and working with both internal and external cross-functional teams to deliver continuous business performance improvement
• Demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and present presentations
