Pay Range: $11.00hr - $16.00hr

Job Overview:

The main focus of this project will be to learn the new digitized driver license issuance requirements and state and federal rules which include REAL ID, Commercial Driver License, and National Driver Register. The successful candidates will review and analyze secure documents of driver license applicants and personal information. The successful candidate must be able to pass federal fingerprint background checks and must conduct themselves professionally with employees and citizens.

• The candidate may be called upon to take a Lead Role.
• The candidate must be able to travel, including overnight stays.
• The candidate should have customer service experience serving both internal and external customers.
• The candidate must be able to work well with others in a team environment, assisting them as needed.
• The candidate must have a high level of accountability.
• The candidate must be able to inspire and lead others through enthusiasm.
• The candidate must possess interpersonal skills required to work with many different clients.
• The candidate must be professional, supportive, diplomatic, flexible, and responsible.
• The candidate must be able to learn and utilize the Driver s License Information System and issuance programs to read and interpret driver history records.
• The candidate must become very knowledgeable of Driver Licensing laws and policies.
• The candidate must learn Commercial Driver Licensing laws and licensing processes.
• Advise applicants on questions and concerns related to driver licensing.
• Overtime may be necessary, up to 10 hours per week.
• Evening or Saturday hours may be required on occasion.
• The candidate must learn information and technology requirements for driver s license laws and issuance, working closely on performance, goals, and conflict resolutions with IT staff.
• The candidate must provide IT and software troubleshooting support to both Central and Regional Offices.
• The candidate will be responsible for assisting with obtaining system credentials for both Central and Regional employees.
• The candidate can make recommendations on process and system improvements to management.
• The candidate will be responsible for all content of the division website.
• The candidate must be able to assist with the facial recognition database in the back office and attend monthly technical meetings.
• Distribute division correspondence to all employees.
• The candidate will assist with duties assigned by the management team.
• The candidate will perform any other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• The candidate should be a graduate of a college or university with a Bachelor s Degree or an Associate s Degree; administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• The candidate must have at least 2+ years of computer technology experience.
