Diesel Engine Account Manager

Superior Diesel, Inc. distributes and supports diesel engines, drivetrain components, and custom power solutions. The Diesel Engine Account Manager manages and grows customer accounts for diesel engine and drivetrain solutions, coordinating customer needs, proposals, and delivery with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• This role is responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts, focusing on diesel engine and drivetrain solutions across targeted industries
• Day-to-day activities include building relationships with new and existing customers, understanding technical requirements, preparing quotes and proposals, and coordinating with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate specifications and on-time delivery
• The Diesel Engine Account Manager will conduct regular account reviews, follow up on leads, attend customer meetings (in person and virtual), and maintain detailed records in the CRM system
• The role also includes monitoring market trends, participating in trade events as needed, and providing feedback to internal teams to improve offerings and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Experience with diesel engines, power systems, or industrial equipment, and the ability to understand technical specifications and applications
• Account management or sales background, including skills in relationship-building, customer service, and contract or proposal negotiation
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiences
• Proficiency with common business software and CRM tools, and the ability to maintain accurate, organized customer and sales records
• Self-directed work style, reliable time management, and the ability to balance in-office collaboration with productive remote work
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• an associate or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in industrial distribution, engine sales, or related fields is highly beneficial
