Inside Sales Account Manager - Latin America

Oxford Nanopore Technologies develops nanopore-based sensing technology for molecular analysis, including DNA and RNA sequencing. The Inside Sales Account Manager will drive commercial growth across Spanish-speaking Latin America by developing new opportunities, growing existing accounts, supporting channel partners, educating customers, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating with field and commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound opportunities from initial engagement through close while also conducting proactive outbound prospecting across the territory. Understand customer needs, identify relevant solutions, build compelling business cases, and maintain momentum throughout the sales process
• Develop relationships across existing accounts to increase product utilization, identify new users and applications, and uncover opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
• Work closely with channel partners throughout the region to support customer engagement, opportunity qualification, and commercial execution. As your knowledge develops, you will also help support partner education and enablement
• Provide customers and partners with timely product information, technical resources, and application guidance to help them understand how Oxford Nanopore technology can support their research
• Partner with Marketing and commercial colleagues to execute targeted outreach initiatives, including call and email campaigns, webinars, product initiatives, and account-based engagement
• Maintain strong CRM discipline by tracking customer activity, documenting opportunities, managing pipeline progression, and providing accurate forecasts. Capture relevant competitive, market, and customer intelligence to support broader territory strategy
• Work closely with Account Executives and other field-based colleagues by conducting account research, preparing for customer meetings, coordinating follow-up, supporting quotes and trials, and helping advance active opportunities
• Develop trusted relationships with customers across the territory and help create a consistent, positive experience from initial engagement through adoption and continued use
• Partner effectively with Marketing, Field Applications Scientists, Technical Support, Account Executives, channel partners, and other colleagues to provide a seamless customer experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate scientific and technical concepts effectively
• Commercial, inside sales, account management, or related customer-facing experience within research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, clinical, genomics, or other life sciences markets
• Strong working knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies and their applications
• Ability to understand scientific customer needs and translate them into relevant commercial opportunities
• Confidence conducting proactive outbound customer engagement in addition to managing inbound opportunities
• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms, with a disciplined approach to pipeline and activity management
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills
• Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
• Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, goal-oriented commercial environment
• Proactive mindset, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through
• preferably in Life Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• PhD or other advanced scientific degree
• Experience within the NGS, genomics, sequencing, or molecular biology market
• Experience selling or supporting customers across Latin America
• Experience working with distributors or channel partners
• Experience within global commercial teams and coordinating with field-based colleagues
• Familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or government laboratories
• Experience supporting commercial campaigns, webinars, account-based marketing, or other targeted customer-engagement initiatives
