Duck Billing Business Analyst

The Duck Billing Business Analyst supports insurance transformation initiatives by gathering and translating business requirements, analyzing billing processes, supporting Duck Creek Billing implementations and integrations, and coordinating testing and production support.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Duck Creek Billing implementations and enhancements
• Work with business stakeholders to understand billing operations and translate requirements into functional specifications
• Analyze end-to-end insurance billing processes, including:
• Direct bill and agency bill
• Premium billing and invoicing
• Installment plans and payment schedules
• Payment processing and reconciliation
• Refunds, cancellations, and reinstatements
• Delinquency management and collections
• Support Duck Creek Billing configuration and implementation activities
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flows
• Work with technical teams on integrations between Duck Creek Billing and Policy Administration, Claims, payment gateways, and third-party systems
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements
• Support UAT planning, test case preparation, and defect resolution
• Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure business requirements are implemented correctly
• Support production issues, root cause analysis, and post-implementation activities

Requirements:

• 8–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain
• Strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Billing
• Excellent understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing lifecycle and financial transactions
• Experience with Duck Creek Billing implementation, configuration, or modernization projects
• Knowledge of Policy Administration and integration with billing platforms
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, and SQL
• Experience with Duck Creek Policy and Claims
• Knowledge of insurance accounting and premium reconciliation
• Experience with payment processing integrations and financial interfaces
• Experience in Guidewire BillingCenter
• Experience supporting large-scale P&C insurance transformation programs
