Duration: 3+ Years
1. Pension domain and plan-rule advisory: Provide subject-matter guidance on pension terminology, plan provisions, eligibility conditions, benefit calculations, retirement events, service history, member status, and related business rules relevant to the approved assignment. Identify where a rule is plan-specific, time-dependent, or subject to CLIENT interpretation, and route policy decisions to authorized business owners.
2. Requirements interpretation and clarification: Review complex or ambiguous pension requirements and help identify the business intent, actors, preconditions, calculation inputs, exception conditions, and expected outcomes. Facilitate structured clarification with CLIENT stakeholders and document confirmed interpretations so the QA team does not embed unapproved assumptions in test cases.
3. Calculation logic and scenario challenge: Review pension calculation scenarios, test inputs, expected results, and boundary conditions. Challenge incomplete scenario coverage involving effective dates, eligibility thresholds, service periods, member attributes, retirement events, and exception paths where applicable. Support comparison of expected and actual outcomes using business-approved calculation references.
4. Complex business scenario design: Help the QA team identify end-to-end pension scenarios that cross multiple functions or processing stages. Consider dependencies among member records, service information, elections, application transactions, batch processing, and downstream results as relevant to the approved scope. Ensure scenario coverage includes both typical and unusual business conditions.
5. Pension defect triage and impact analysis: Support analysis of defects involving pension calculations, member records, eligibility, service history, retirement processing, or inconsistent business outcomes. Help determine whether the issue appears to arise from requirement ambiguity, configuration, data, application logic, processing sequence, or test design. Provide domain context and recommended investigation paths without replacing technical root-cause ownership.
6. UAT and stakeholder consultation: Participate in designated workshops, scenario reviews, and UAT discussions to explain domain context and help stakeholders evaluate whether test scenarios reflect approved business processes. Capture questions and decisions, distinguish domain advice from formal CLIENT approval, and ensure that unresolved policy matters remain visible.
7. Knowledge transfer and team coaching: Provide targeted knowledge sessions to the pension QA analyst and other assigned team members. Review test assets, explain domain terminology, share scenario patterns, and coach the team on how to identify business-rule dependencies and exceptions. Document reusable knowledge within approved repositories.
8. Domain reference and decision traceability: Maintain or contribute to a record of confirmed interpretations, business-rule references, scenario assumptions, and decisions made by authorized CLIENT stakeholders. Link clarifications to affected requirements and tests where practical, and flag changes that may require test-case updates or regression.
