Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 3+ Years
Detailed Responsibilities and Expected Role Outputs
1. Transition strategy and mobilization plan: Develop a structured transition plan aligned with the approved start date, transition period, scope, milestones, responsibilities, and CLIENT operating constraints. Identify transition work packages, predecessor dependencies, required participants, decision points, evidence requirements, and risks. Maintain a transition schedule and action register for review with CLIENT.
2. Incumbent and stakeholder knowledge transfer: Coordinate knowledge-transfer sessions with CLIENT, incumbent providers, application owners, and other designated parties. Identify required topics such as application architecture, test assets, release calendars, environments, interfaces, known defects, operational procedures, contacts, and recurring support issues. Track attendance, materials received, open questions, and knowledge gaps.
3. Documentation, asset, and test-asset inventory: Establish an inventory of available requirements, test plans, test cases, automation scripts, test data references, defect records, release documents, environment details, operating procedures, and reporting artifacts. Assess completeness and usability, identify missing or outdated items, and document ownership and access requirements.
4. Access, environment, and tool readiness: Coordinate the prerequisites for approved system access, user accounts, role permissions, connectivity, test environments, test-management tools, automation platforms, repositories, and reporting tools. Track requests and approvals without bypassing CLIENT security processes. Confirm that required access is available before assigned personnel begin work.
5. Transition risk, issue, and dependency management: Identify risks involving incomplete knowledge transfer, unavailable personnel, missing documentation, delayed access, environment instability, unresolved defects, or release-calendar conflicts. Record probability, impact, mitigation, owner, and escalation route. Review open items with delivery leadership and CLIENT and maintain visibility until disposition.
6. Operational walkthroughs and readiness validation: Coordinate process walkthroughs and agreed rehearsals to confirm that the team understands intake, prioritization, test preparation, execution, defect management, reporting, escalation, and release coordination. Validate that responsibilities, tools, communication paths, and evidence practices are understood before normal operations are assumed.
7. Transition acceptance and controlled handover: Prepare transition completion evidence, including knowledge-transfer status, inventory, access readiness, unresolved items, risk disposition, operational documentation, and readiness findings. Present the transition position for CLIENT review, address requested actions, and document acceptance or any agreed conditions and follow-up responsibilities.
8. Stabilization and post-transition support: During the agreed stabilization period, monitor early service execution, identify gaps between documented processes and actual operating needs, coordinate corrective actions, and transfer remaining actions to the Delivery Manager / Test Manager. Ensure that transition lessons are incorporated into ongoing delivery controls.
