Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Solaire Vision is seeking an SEO specialist to drive new patient acquisition through organic search for its two optometry practices in Northern Virginia. The role will diagnose search performance gaps and develop and execute improvements across technical, on-page, local, and off-page SEO.

Responsibilities:

• Drive new patient acquisition through organic search for our two optometry practices in Northern Virginia. Success means stronger visibility for high-intent searches that generate qualified website visits, calls, and booked appointments. More traffic alone is not the goal
• Organic visibility: Our website is largely absent from traditional organic (blue-link) results for relevant "near me" searches, despite performing well for location-specific searches
• Google Maps rankings: Our Google Business Profiles were consistently ranking in the top three for many primary keywords, but rankings have become inconsistent despite well-optimized profiles. We need to understand why and improve performance
• Low organic CTR: We have relatively low click-through rates on high-intent, non-branded searches, even when Google Search Console reports strong average positions
• Rebrand cleanup: Complete the remaining SEO work following our recent rebrand, including updating inconsistent business information, citations, listings, and backlinks
• Backlink acquisition: Develop and execute a sustainable strategy to earn relevant, authoritative backlinks that strengthen our local organic presence

Requirements:

• We're looking for an exceptional, US-based SEO specialist with proven results across local, technical, on-page, and off-page SEO
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to distinguish root causes from symptoms
• Hands-on expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, local SEO, Google Business Profiles, and link building
• Evidence-based recommendations grounded in actual search data, competitive analysis, and measurable results
• Independent judgment, clear prioritization, and accountability for outcomes
• Someone who can both develop the strategy and execute it, rather than simply provide recommendations
• Experience with AEO/GEO is a plus
