About this role
Role Overview
The Senior IT Business Analyst will participate in analysis and will support the implementation, development, and operational evolution of information systems.
The person will act as a liaison between the needs of business units and technological solutions by building relationships with various stakeholders and contributing to the proposal of appropriate solutions.
Act as a partner for the different client stakeholders to translate requirements;
Contribute to the strategic planning of information systems;
Collaborate in defining project directions and business objectives;
Document project scope, objectives, added value, and expected benefits;
Produce deliverables related to the development of the business case such as defining business needs and objectives, analyzing current and target processes, impact analysis, defining functional specifications (use cases), and identifying and evaluating available options using recognized methods;
Contribute to the design, execution, and oversight of comprehensive test plans (system and user). Approve test documentation and results and communicate relevant information to concerned stakeholders;
Produce deliverables related to the configuration and deployment strategy of IT solutions based on identified needs;
Support users during the implementation of solutions by linking their business needs to the options offered by the IT solution;
Assess change management needs and collaborate in designing, planning, and executing the change management plan with the project team;
Contribute to knowledge transfer to ensure the operationalization of solutions;
Contribute to the development of the business analysis practice within the Agency.
Requirements
University degree in business administration, computer science, or another relevant field
Professional certification (e.g., IIBA CBAP) or a diploma in business analysis is an asset.
Required experience
5 years of experience in business analysis, more specifically in process analysis and modeling, facilitating sessions or workshops to collect business requirements or review business processes in a project environment involving many stakeholders;
10 years of experience in IT.
Required skills
Recognized expertise in gathering requirements from internal and external clients: listening to clients, formulating and clarifying their needs;
Ability to write documentation in good French;
Excellent listening and communication skills;
Strong analytical and synthesis skills with ease in understanding, systematizing, and simplifying technical concepts;
Ability to organize and facilitate working groups;
Business process modeling BPMN 2.0 (Visio);
Leadership, facilitation (mediation), and adaptability;
Time and priority management;
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
Bilingualism (spoken and written).
Required knowledge
Knowledge of a recognized methodology for producing business analysis deliverables;
Mastery of techniques for analyzing client and business needs;
Methods for analyzing organizational processes;
Communication techniques.
