Manage the review and approval of educational content (presentations, videos, other content as identified) for surgical programs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with BD standards.
Collaborate with medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) teams to route content for approval, ensuring proper citation of reference material and compliance with regulatory and legal guidelines for claim statements and disclaimers.
Maintain content databases and utilize routing/review system (Veeva MedVault and PromoMats) to track progress and version control.
Manage organization of educational content, ensuring expired material is removed or routed for reapproval as appropriate.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and external vendors as needed to support content development and updates.
Identify opportunities to improve content workflows and implement process enhancements.
Manage Surgical Education Team communications, including newsletter content and the Surgical Education mailbox.
Develop promotional materials as needed and route for medical/ legal/regulatory approval.
Support ad hoc project management needs.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members or contractors as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or technical writing from an accredited college or university required
3 + years of experience managing written content in a regulated environment required, preferably in the medical device or life sciences industry.
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory guidelines for claim statements in a regulated industry.
Advanced proficiency with content management systems (e.g. Veeva PromoMats), routing tools, and databases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders independently with moderate guidance.
