Senior Performance, Simulation, Application Engineer

Role Overview

• Responsible for identifying customer solutions (DTO) outside of traditional NPI.
• Understand system interactions to enable solutions to meet Caterpillar requirements and customer deliverables.
• Gather requirements and collaborate on designs with customers and dealers.
• Work with product groups, EP, Marine, O&G to deliver quality products at the lowest possible costs.
• Collaborate with AT&ES performance engineers to understand performance tradeoffs.
• Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test to deliver new products and improve validation processes.
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Material Science, Chemistry, or closely related curriculum.
• Aftertreatment experience
• Experience in a customer interface setting
• Experience with NPI process
• Advanced Excel experience
• Prior experience presenting to internal and external customers
