Role Overview
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care
- Provides direct patient care and coordinates nursing activities
- Be accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered
- Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning
- Implement the plan of care based on patient needs
- Evaluate the patient's response to care and revise care plan as needed
- Document all care in the patient record
Requirements
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
- BLS certification is required
- Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work
