About this role
Role Overview
Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of PerkinElmer’s food testing instrumentation portfolio.
Create and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue growth in food testing capital equipment.
Manage all aspects of territory ownership, including prospecting, relationship development, opportunity management, and deal closure.
Conduct effective customer presentations, demonstrations, and seminars.
Build and maintain a healthy sales funnel, provide accurate forecasts, and consistently convert opportunities into revenue to achieve quota.
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and ownership of results.
Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in science or a related technical field required.
3–5 years of capital equipment sales experience.
Experience selling into the food testing or food processing industry preferred.
Proven ability to carry and achieve an annual sales quota of $2M or greater.
Demonstrated success building relationships with large, strategic accounts.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and retain technical information.
