Building Safety Consultant

Role Overview

• Advising and assisting clients and in-house teams in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Building Regulations 2010 (As Amended) and the Building Safety Act 2022
• Delivering the Building Regulations Principal Designer function for clients
• Using skills and knowledge to work with designers to review building regulations compliance
• Responsible for delivering a broad range of Building Safety Consultancy services, including conducting building regulation compliance audits, performing site inspections
• Learning and applying quality assurance principles

Requirements

• Strong background interpreting and applying the building regulations and associated secondary legislation relating to projects
• Sound technical Building Regulations knowledge combined with an understanding of design and construction
• Excellent stakeholder facing skills
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software
• Relevant professional chartership/accreditation with either CABE, CIOB, RICS
• Experience in a similar Building Safety/ building regulations compliance/design compliance role
• Full UK Driving Licence
