About this role
Role Overview
Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including: Defining new sources of supply for critical and new components.
Lead RFPs, including design, deployment and analysis of results.
Negotiate and establish new supplier contracts in line with the company's needs and growth plans.
Carry out “Make-or-Buy” analyses to evaluate procurement decisions.
Coordinate between teams to ensure the system is updated with new and relevant information.
Manage the RFSE (Request for Supplier Evaluation) process for new suppliers, including FAI (First Article Inspection) and performance improvement.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and source optimization.
Gather and analyze data and market research to track industry trends, references and part profiles relevant to the value chain.
Oversee pricing and quotation (P&O) activities, ensuring pricing accuracy and supplier compliance with the project.
Identify opportunities for managing excess and inactive inventory, including reselling or upgrading parts.
Liaise between supply chain value streams and other departments within the organization.
Integrate and align value stream strategy with medium-term sales plan to support business growth.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain management.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, procurement or related field.
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset.
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract execution and cost reduction strategies.
Solid experience in market data analysis and procurement project management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and procurement tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
Excellent problem-solving and dispute resolution skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
