Set the Vision: Define and lead the data and AI strategy for Post-Purchase and Innovation, aligning it tightly with company priorities and customer outcomes
Partner with executive leadership to influence technology investment decisions, trade-offs, and long-term roadmap planning
Drive smarter usage and optimization of existing platforms across Fulfillment, Returns, and Customer Support using data-driven insights
Build and Lead a High-Impact Team: Hire, lead, and inspire a cross-functional team of data scientists, analysts, and data product managers
Create a culture of ownership, curiosity, and delivery—coaching the team on both technical excellence and business impact
Deliver complex initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and Business teams
Drive Experimentation & Learning: Champion a test-and-learn mindset, embedding experimentation into how technology decisions are made
Lead experimentation design, measurement frameworks, and testing strategies across initiatives
Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate outcomes, run “what-if” scenarios, and provide clear recommendations
Advance Algorithms & AI: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of algorithms and models that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate customer experience
Ensure models are scalable, explainable, and aligned with real-world operational needs
Be a Connector & Storyteller: Translate business challenges into actionable data and AI initiatives
Communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and confidence to non-technical partners
Present insights, progress, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
Requirements
Proven experience leading data and/or data science teams, ideally in fulfillment, returns, or innovation-driven environments
Strong hands-on foundation in Python and SQL, with the ability to guide technical direction
Retail or marketplace experience strongly preferred
Exceptional leadership, communication, and influence skills
