Conducting quality control reviews of new matter intake forms, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete, and compliant with firm policies and procedures.
Performing conflict searches for new clients and matters, as well as reviewing and analyzing results for each party, in an efficient and timely manner.
Having a working knowledge of the Risk Management Departments procedures and understanding the conflicts request workflows.
Using third party resources and databases to research entities and parent companies.
Communicating with lawyers and legal administrative assistants and helping them with questions regarding matter opening procedures.
Maintaining client, matter, and related party data in the Firm’s software systems.
Handling of confidential data and communications with a high degree of discretion at all times.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate.
Previous law firm experience is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, along with a professional manner are required.
Excellent proofreading skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Familiarity with Intapp Intake & Conflicts (collectively Intapp Open) and 3E/Elite is a plus.
Demonstration of sound judgment in managing your assignments in relation to Firm and department priorities.
Exhibition of initiative and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, while being able to work independently.
