Leading the team of QA analysts on shift in providing timely analysis of raw materials, in-process checks, and finished products.
Performing inspections on equipment and facilities.
Providing quality data and support to management in investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Approves all daily production records to verify adherence to internal programs and standards.
Records, issues, and approves all corrective actions needed to close gaps pertaining to preventive controls or general food safety and quality requirements.
Ensures that all material data in SAP is correct and that the certificate profile for each material is set up.
Reviews and approves finished product for compliance and positive release these goods via SAP system.
Reviews all data in production floor data system for each run prior to release.
Approves, verifies, and communicates disposition of incoming raw materials.
Transacts, initiates, and communicates a Quality Hold within SAP system to block raw or finished inventory from shipment for issues observed during record review, shelf-life expiration, or as the result of notification from the production floor.
Communicates updates and final disposition of affected product and performs all supporting system transactions to release, destroy, return, or rework product on hold.
Ensures production records, internal audits, and other Quality Systems documentation is filed, stored and archived in accordance with record retention policies.
Maintains the document registries and ensures that the document controllers for each department are trained on the proper documentation format and procedure.
Back up to the QA Analysts responsibilities including but not limited to equipment and facility inspections and analytical testing.
Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
3-5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience in a highly regulated environment such as food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience and training/certification with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) FDA, FSIS, ISO 9001 or USDA standards are strongly preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to follow and implement written or oral instructions.
Ability to problem solve with limited information.
Ability to analyze a situation and investigate root cause.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, such as SAP, and RedZone is a plus.
Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
