Role Overview
- Responsible for fulfilling patient orders, documentation, and delivery instructions
- Trains and educates patients and caregivers on equipment use
- Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities
- Discusses insurance coverage and arranges payment
- Processes credit and debit card payments
- Obtains signatures for documentation
- Ensures complete, accurate and timely processing of referrals
- Maintains working knowledge of assigned Health Systems’ electronic medical records
- Coordinates with other departments to minimize delivery expenses
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years’ work-related experience in health care, customer service, delivery personnel with sales component or entry-level sales is required
- Prior work experience in the HME, Diabetic or Wound Supply is preferred
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
