Associate – Specialty, Insurance Coverage

Role Overview

• Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations;
• Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda;
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
• Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Requirements

• Excellent academic credentials;
• Admitted to practice in California;
• Admitted to other states (particularly TX, NY, WA, or CO) is an asset;
• Ideally 1-3 years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation matters;
• Experience in commercial general liability is preferred;
• Federal court experience.
