About this role
Role Overview
Develop and execute winning commercial strategies, including key account planning and customer engagement related to the C&G offering.
Increase commercial penetration of the C&G offering with customers: identify opportunities and promote C&G products and solutions.
Respond to customer inquiries (internal and external) (RFI, RFQ, framework agreements, etc.).
Conduct site visits and customer meetings; listen to customer needs, identify issues, and promote appropriate technical solutions.
Define the strategy for our offerings, set target pricing, and lead the technical and commercial proposal while ensuring internal processes are followed.
Negotiate during the commercial phase, including Terms and Conditions, through contract award.
Be responsible for C&G commercial growth and for achieving defined targets within the region.
Develop and strengthen customer relationships, increasing customer intimacy at the plant level in collaboration with sales and other functions.
Keep the CRM tool up to date and provide the organization with accurate information on upcoming C&G transactions.
Collaborate with other Sales Managers, Project Managers, Hydro Service Managers and other functions to develop a relevant regional strategy.
Work with absolute integrity and in full compliance with ethics and compliance rules.
Adhere to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and promote safe and appropriate behavior inside and outside the company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 8 years of proven professional experience in the industry, with relevant sales and business development experience related to PLC-based control systems, automation systems and governor solutions.
Technical experience and knowledge of Controls and Governor solutions, ideally on rotating machines (turbines and gas/thermal/steam/hydroelectric generators).
Proven experience producing technical and commercial proposals for industrial control systems.
General understanding of hydropower technology.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Ability to apply technical knowledge and extensive experience, along with analytical thinking, to formulate solutions.
Understanding of contract negotiation mechanisms and Terms and Conditions requirements.
Field operations experience is a plus.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to hydroelectric plants and customer sites in the United States and Canada, as required.
Proficiency with computer tools, including the Microsoft Office suite.
