Communicate with and influence internal and external customers and sales leaders regarding sales proposals and strategies.
Help to improve account management policies and processes by implementing innovative solutions.
Conduct Market analysis and identify key customer targets.
Help to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
Use state procurement contracts and other sales tools to increase equipment sales.
Manage K-12 sales activities and resources within sales channels in assigned territory.
Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that improve Carrier’s competitive position.
Track project activity.
Provide technical and product training to key customers.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years of Sales experience in a quota carrying solution sales role
Ability to travel up to 60% domestically
BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing; MBA preferable.
Experience selling into the K-12 market
Experience selling direct or indirect HVAC equipment
A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Experience with 2 step distribution and working through different sales channels.
Experience in sales to U.S. Government and Public Sector Agencies.
Experience navigating through procurement.
Knowledge of HVAC designs highly desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with both external customers and across functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.
Strong financial and business acumen.
Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize.
