Role Overview
Serves as Deputy State Central Register Administrator.
Serves as full line supervisor.
Possesses significant authority to function in the capacity of the Deputy Director to determine and implement a specific course of action with regard to child protection issues.
Develops and implements a program of staff development and training for subordinate staff.
Provide extensive input and makes recommendations regarding annual budget plans for SCR as a whole.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field (child, family, and community services, criminal justice, criminal justice administration, early childhood development, early childhood education, elementary education, guidance and counseling, home economics-child and family services, human service administration, human services marriage and family therapy, law enforcement, master of divinity, mental health counseling, pastoral care, pastoral counseling, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, psychology, public administration, rehabilitation counseling, secondary education, social science, social services, sociology, and special education).
Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a child welfare/child protection field.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience supervising professional staff.
2 years of managerial experience in a professional setting within a public or business organization.
3 years of professional experience in a call floor environment.
Professional experience working in a 24 hour/7 day per week operation.
Professional experience in staff development and training.
Professional experience in the development of strategies for effective program operation.
Professional experience in multi-tasking with multiple system applications.
