Implementing business development plans to meet product line and sales goals.
Identifying and creating both new and add-on business opportunities with the target vertical markets
Proactively initiate customer contact on a regular basis to understand their goals, challenges and requirements for Hardware-in-the-loop, Software-in-the-loop, CI/CD, vehicle networking, EV/EVSE test system design/development and medical equipment/device customers
Identify market potential by qualifying customers. Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products, processes, and services.
Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and providing feedback from customers.
Identify, specify, and propose projects to assist customers integrating Vector solution into their processes.
Present Vector’s comprehensive product suite at industry and Vector events
Work with account management to follow opportunities through to a sale including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and product deliveries
Creation of customer presentations and technical articles, conception of webinars, participation in congresses and trade fairs and within customer organization
Requirements
Proven track record developing and closing business opportunities
5+ years of experience in vehicle networking, test system design/development and delivery solutions into the target markets
Experience using/implementing automotive networking standards such as CAN, CAN FD, J1939, LIN, MOST, Ethernet, FlexRay, AUTOSAR, SDC desired
Knowledge of C/C++/C#/Python is desirable.
Knowledge of development and testing processes within the target markets.
Strong hardware and system design knowledge
Previous experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL, vTESTstudio, VT System) is desirable
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills for diverse audiences at all levels within the customer organization
Ability to translate complex testing solutions into business value especially at management levels with the customer
Ability to work in a team environment with a sense of urgency to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Ability to recognize, develop and propose solutions to existing or potential customers
Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary (typically < 30%).
B.S. in EE/SE/CE/CS or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
