Provide executive leadership to EPC project execution teams on large, complex power generation projects.
Establish and implement project execution strategies, work plans, staffing plans, and governance structures.
Ensure alignment with Aecon’s corporate strategy, financial objectives, and risk profile.
Support business development efforts through participation in bids, proposals, and pursuit strategies.
Provide execution input during preconstruction to support competitive and risk-informed proposals.
Lead commercial and contract management, including cost control, forecasting, cash flow, change management, and claims mitigation.
Direct all EPC execution activities, ensuring integration and alignment across safety, engineering, procurement, construction, quality, and commissioning disciplines.
Oversee engineering deliverables, procurement strategies, major equipment sourcing, logistics, and construction sequencing.
Champion a world-class safety culture with accountability for overall safety performance while ensuring compliance with all HSE, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Develop, manage, and control project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities.
Serve as the senior executive interface with project owners, utilities, developers, lenders, OEMs, subcontractors, and partners.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Ensure appropriate staffing, capability, succession planning, and functional expertise across all disciplines.
Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
15+ years of experience in EPC execution for large infrastructure or industrial projects.
10+ years in senior leadership roles managing large power generation EPC projects.
Proven experience delivering $300M–$1B+ full cycle EPC projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (required).
MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
Deep knowledge of combined cycle and simple cycle gas turbine plants, steam turbine and balance-of-plant systems, thermal generation construction methodologies, commissioning and startup processes.
Strong understanding of EPC contracting models, scheduling, cost controls, and change management.
Experience with regulatory, environmental, and permitting requirements.
Demonstrated executive leadership, financial and commercial acumen, and contract negotiation capability.
Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in fast‑track EPC environments.
Experience working with utilities, IPPs, developers, and OEMs (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
