Serve as the state/local leader providing overall management, planning, execution, and leadership for all aspects of a designated market.
Create mission impact, mobilize supporters, grow a diversified revenue portfolio, donor stewardship, board/staff development and maintain overall budgets.
Position March of Dimes as a leader in maternal and child health care in the respective market.
Establish effective partnerships and collaborations with corporations, foundations, community/corporate leaders, government officials, and other community organizations/nonprofits.
Report to the Senior Vice President of Market Impact sharing successes and problem-solving.
Lead and develop a combination of local donor relationships, mission, and enterprise shared services staff to drive results.
Requirements
5-7 years experience
Four year college degree
Proven success in creating a strategic revenue plan that drives significant growth YOY
Proven success in cultivating and securing major gifts
Proven success in cultivating and securing planned gifts
Proven success in cultivating and securing corporate partnerships
Demonstrated ability to work and cultivate relationships across a variety of sectors, communities and levels to ensure mission alignment and reach.
Proven success in recruiting and retaining high level volunteer leaders and board members
Experience in managing multiple staff over various functional areas, including employees who telecommute
Experience in a nonprofit environment a plus
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership/management skills with the ability to motivate staff and lead change
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven track record building internal and external relationships
