Manage the accounting function for an assigned Consumer Products business unit
Perform and oversee general accounting activities, including month-end and quarter-end close
Reconcile multiple general ledger accounts
Support accurate accounting for inventory-related activities
Assist in ensuring provision of accurate financial data to business unit leadership
Prepare and review the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations
Approve journal entries for accurate financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of year-end and other audits
Maintain compliance with GAAP and company financial policies
Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvements
Provide advanced guidance and technical support on accounting issues
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Eight (8) years of experience as an Accountant
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Strong knowledge and proficiency applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC) to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial management software (SAP and NetSuite are preferred)
Strong customer service skills
Organizational skills to maintain information in a logical manner
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Time management skills and ability to work under stress
