Lead technical research on complex transactions including revenue recognition (ASC 606), stock‑based compensation, leases (ASC 842), business combinations, consolidation, and software capitalization.
Draft, update, and maintain company-wide accounting policies, memos, and documentation.
Monitor emerging accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the business; drive adoption and implementation.
Evaluate customer contracts, product offerings, and Go-To-Market models for proper revenue treatment.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Legal to review deal structures and new product launches.
Support system implementations and controls related to revenue recognition.
Oversee preparation of technical accounting disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Support financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
Assist in improving accounting processes and controls, particularly around revenue, software development, and equity.
Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of learning and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience in revenue accounting, public accounting, or technology/ SaaS environments
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP; deep understanding of revenue recognition.
Demonstrated experience operating within a controlled close environment, with a clear understanding of documentation standards, review requirements, and audit evidence.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, detailed datasets in support of reconciliations and audit requests.
High degree of ownership, attention to detail, and judgment required to operate effectively in a high growth, scaling technology environment
Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally (Sales, Legal, FP&A, Customer Success, and Operations) while maintaining strong accounting governance and control discipline.
