Assisting with all functions related to the delivery of summer camp programs to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience for special needs children/youth registered at the camp
Providing direct client care and intervention, and program adaptation
Ensuring work is performed in accordance with related legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
Post-secondary Student
completion of first year college or university in Nursing, Developmental Services Worker, Recreation and Leisure, or related field
Student must be returning to school in the fall
Minimum of 8 months but less than 1 year of related experience is required
Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificates
AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
Alternative Communication Systems (ASL
American Sign Language) training is desirable
Ergonomic Lifts and Transfers training is an asset
