Load, format, publish, and update web content across multiple federally maintained and/or managed websites
Coordinate with government stakeholders and project team to gather, review, and post content in accordance with approved workflows and timelines
Ensure all posted web content is posted accurately, consistently, and in alignment with approved templates, style guides, and branding standards including compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and plain language guidelines.
Perform content audits to identify outdated, duplicate, or inaccurate content and recommend updates and/or removals.
Support implementation of content updates related to policy changes, public communications, or program initiatives.
Conduct basic quality assurance checks, including link validation, formatting accuracy, and accessibility prior to publication.
Track content updates and maintain documentation such as content inventories, publishing logs, and approval records.
Support community management functions such as monitoring website feedback, comments, or forms.
Triage and route user inquiries, feedback, or submissions to appropriate stakeholders for response.
Monitor engagement trends and flag emerging issues, frequently asked questions, or content gaps.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
You must be a US citizen and be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, User Experience, Marketing, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in content strategy, content management, or related roles, with a strong focus on user-centered design.
Demonstrated experience with Section 508 compliance / WCAG accessibility requirements for web content.
Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) like Drupal, WordPress, or SharePoint.
Knowledge of web design principles, including SEO, HTML, and information architecture.
Strong written communication and editing skills, with experience applying plain language principles for diverse audiences.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
