Ensure project adherence to donor rules and regulations, as well as to IYF internal policies/procedures governing project and award management.
Build staff knowledge and capacities to understand and comply with applicable donor requirements and award terms and conditions.
Work closely with program teams, Country Office leadership, and donor representatives to manage award agreements for assigned projects, and to achieve outcomes in accordance with donor expectations and regulations.
Lead efforts in monitoring of award budgets and budget realignments, partner agreements and subawards, grants and contracts, and associated compliance and risk matrices, ensuring timely deliverables within project scope and budget.
May be assigned budget management responsibility for select projects.
Ensure IYF’s systems, processes and capacities related to award management reflect industry best practices and support the organization’s successful management of awards from bilateral and multilateral donor agencies, foundations, and local and multi-national corporations.
Coordinate closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy and coherence between programmatic and financial reports to ensure alignment with broader institutional relationship.
Oversee the contracts process in BD proposal cycle to help IYF position for new opportunities. Specific roles include leading the compliance reviews of proposals, solicitation to comply with IYF guidelines, partner diligence and collaboration with proposal teams from compliance lens.
Communicate effectively and collaboratively with donors, partners, relevant government authorities, and/or other stakeholders on program specific requirements.
Supervision: Directly supervise an Award Officer serving all geographic regions and thematic areas. Responsible for staff mentoring, performance management and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to research and interpret donor and award requirements, inform and advise senior leadership, negotiate and collaborate with donor and partner officials, and assess and mitigate compliance risks for successful project delivery.
Strong Knowledge Management and Learning aptitude to strengthen internal systems, processes, and staff capacities for effective project management and optimal return on investment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and one other language (Spanish, French, Portuguese or Arabic) required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
Excellent computer skills, including use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), and experience using online management information systems (e.g. Salesforce) and/or collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint) is an added benefit.
Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to IYF’s mission and programs (Social Science, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy).
Demonstrated knowledge of and substantial experience managing compliance with the award rules and regulations of Corporate and Foundation development Assistance funders required.
