Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, Public Markets & Reporting, the Investment Analyst will provide professional oversight and effective coordination of investments, including the management of the university's financial assets.
Focus on the University Endowment Pool (UEP) with support for public market investments, including equities, hedge funds, and fixed income, as well as assistance for public market investments within the Non-Endowed Investment Pool (NEIP).
Assist the Portfolio Manager, including implementation and monitoring of public market investments covering various asset classes and strategies.
Perform investment research, portfolio design, and risk management, actively participating in the development of policy documents.
Requirements
Requires a relevant undergraduate degree supplemented by post-graduate and/or professional certification (i.e. CFA, CAIA, MBA, or CPA) and a minimum of two years of related experience preferred.
Knowledge of mathematical finance, statistics, fundamental micro and macro-economic concepts, and corporate financial analysis.
A solid comprehension of capital markets, hedge fund strategies, performance measurement, risk measurement and management, portfolio management, financial modelling, and sensitivity analysis.
Strong research and analytical skills necessary to analyze portfolios, recommend strategic and investment policy changes, and manager selection.
Strong written and oral presentation skills.
Proficiency with Bloomberg and/or other portfolio management tools.
