Reporting to the Director, Investments and Treasury, play a key role in supporting the university’s investment and treasury operations by providing in-depth analysis, reporting, and risk measurement and monitoring oversight.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of reporting frameworks, monitoring investment performance, calculating risk analytics, and contributing to the management of the university’s investment portfolio.
Requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure compliance, optimize returns, and mitigate risks aligned with the university’s investment objectives.
Requirements
Requires a relevant undergraduate degree supplemented by post-graduate and/or professional certification (i.e. CFA, CAIA, MBA, or CPA).
Five years of experience preferred in investment analysis, portfolio management, or risk management, ideally in a university endowment, foundation, or institutional investment setting.
Attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to make decisions under strict timelines to avoid a direct loss from opportunity costs due to failed or incorrect settlement transactions.
Knowledge of foreign exchange markets and the ability to transact in these markets. Experience and familiarity with investment settlement procedures.
Strong written and oral presentation skills.
Proficiency with Bloomberg and/or other portfolio management tools.
