Act as the “right hand” to the VP of Finance, assisting with management of daily financial operations and ensuring top quality service to our clients
Manage the performance of two Financial Ops team members directly and oversee the Financial Analysts indirectly
Manage a large volume of bank accounts with multiple banks globally, in various currencies, and have a robust cash management strategy in place
Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensure relationships with important partners are maintained by verifying that invoices are appropriately billed and paid on time
Build relationships and escalate issues to banking partners, execute company transactions and FX, ensure Treasury policies are up to date and complied with across the department
Oversee the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports for Senior Management
Work closely with Accounting to supply all financial information necessary to produce company accounts
Know our internal system and fee structure inside out, work closely with Technology to ensure data is consistent and accurate for financial reporting
Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function; perform various analyses on the Group's financial results, trends, costs, client base etc.; develop a company budget and forecast and manage it on an ongoing basis
Lead projects and initiatives to support the company’s growth and expansion into other verticals, working closely with the Product and Tech teams to ensure all Finance requirements are met before go-live
Dig into the details, connect the dots and make recommendations to streamline and improve existing processes
Propose and implement quality control and risk mitigation strategies
Build dashboards displaying relevant financial information, company trends and KPIs using BI tools such as Power BI
Assist the VP of Finance with ad hoc tasks and initiatives, as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance , Economics, Accounting or other related field
5 years of relevant work experience in Financial Ops, FP&A or Treasury; at least one year in a leadership position
Advanced technical and financial modelling skills, minimum 9/10 in Excel required
Experience working with and creating intuitive financial reports from large and complex data sets
Strong oral and written English skills is required to interact with our international clients and 3rd party providers such as international banking partners, as well as our international colleagues.
Strong oral and written French language skills are an asset.
