About this role
Role Overview
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of solution consultants across Europe
Set clear performance standards and ensure consistent presales delivery, presentations, and solution design
Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth
Define and execute the regional presales strategy aligned with sales and product leadership
Oversee qualification, progression, and closure of opportunities by allocating SME resources and ensuring strategic presales support
Drive and quality-assure RFP/RFI responses, delivering accurate and compelling solution narratives
Own governance and approval processes for solution designs and estimations
Act as executive presales sponsor for strategic opportunities and major client engagements
Provide expert consultancy on card issuing, processing, and payment innovation
Support setup and delivery of complex solution demonstrations and presentations
Partner with Sales Executives to craft differentiated solution value propositions
Ensure presales input into product roadmaps and share client/market insights with product teams
Coordinate presales activity with Professional Services, Pricing, and Product to ensure solution feasibility and alignment
Assess and validate third-party vendor solutions for integration or partnership suitability
Maintain strong knowledge of UK/European payments trends (debit, credit, prepaid, emerging lending including BNPL)
Provide internal and external thought leadership, supporting business development initiatives and speaking engagements.
Requirements
Proven experience in presales, solution consulting, or product-focused client-facing roles within card issuing/processing
Proven experience managing or mentoring solution consultants in a high-growth, complex-sales environment
Strong business and technical understanding of cards issuing and processing across European markets
Deep knowledge of requirements across debit, credit, prepaid, unsecured lending, and "as-a-service" propositions
Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills; credible at senior client and stakeholder levels
Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting large enterprise or multi-market deals
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies
High personal accountability, passion for achieving results, and a consulting mindset.
