Customer consulting & technical solution development: You handle technical inquiries to the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD) and coordinate collaboration between internal and external partners within an interdisciplinary team. Together with the FMD institutes and partners, you develop tailored solution proposals for your customers. You proactively initiate new customer inquiries and support them through to the preparation of a well-founded technological offer.
Strategic development & market monitoring: You capture long-term customer needs and use these insights for operational and strategic project planning. You monitor trends, technological developments and relevant events to derive roadmaps and recommendations for action. You actively participate in shaping the FMD offering within the APECS pilot line and in the further development of the business strategy.
Networking & representation: You build strategic customer contacts, maintain and continuously develop them. In doing so, you confidently represent FMD topics to stakeholders from academia, industry and policy and position FMD as a competent partner.
Requirements
Completed university degree in electronics, electrical engineering (microelectronics/microsystems technology), physics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in the microelectronics field, ideally with active participation in collaborations between research and industry and a strong network of relevant stakeholders.
Business acumen and the ability to capture and structure complex technical requirements and customer needs.
Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work in a team.
Independent, decisive working style and enthusiasm for presenting FMD topics clearly to a specialist audience.
Willingness to travel within Germany and Europe (approx. 20%, occasionally including weekends).
Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

The position is initially limited to two years. An extension is sought.
Employment, remuneration and social benefits are based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD). In addition, Fraunhofer may grant performance
and success-based variable remuneration components.
