Role Overview
- Ensure guests have an exceptional product experience across all locations.
- Deliver smart category strategies, efficient processes, and high-performing programs.
- Own the full lifecycle of all merchandise categories, including assortment strategy, product selection, pricing, and category growth planning.
- Analyze category performance, market trends, competition, and guest behavior to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation.
- Create and maintain standardized, scalable processes for product programs.
- Partner with Operations to ensure programs are simple, clear, and operationally feasible.
- Lead the strategy for category promotions, deals, and margin-driving programs.
- Ensure planograms reflect assortment strategies and operational practicality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Category Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years of merchandising, category management, or retail buying experience.
- Experience in convenience retail, truck stops, travel centers, or high-SKU retail strongly preferred.
- Prior experience leading teams or cross-functional projects.
