About this role
Role Overview
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the manufacturing and production sector
Lead, coach, and performance-manage a sales team, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, trade shows, and industry events
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and delivery
Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in alignment with company margin and profitability goals
Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product and sales strategy
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and post-sale account management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum 5 years of sales experience
Demonstrated experience selling within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas in a B2B setting
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events (up to 50%)
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and production timelines
Experience with capital equipment, custom fabrication, or industrial components sales (preferred)
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma environments (preferred)
Existing network of contacts within the manufacturing or production industry (preferred)
