About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for building and executing Prologis' government relations strategy at the state and local levels.
Focused on helping to advance efforts to effectively engage and collaborate with communities and governments.
Lead the development of legislative and regulatory advocacy strategy and implementation on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis.
Create clear and measurable outcomes connected to core business outcomes.
Develop strong internal relationships with business leaders to understand their needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with local and state officials, agencies, and stakeholders.
Work with internal stakeholders to craft policy and public affairs agendas.
Directly manage regional government affairs consultants.
Requirements
8+ years of experience working in and leading government and community affairs strategy.
Strong collaborative approach to work and internal stakeholder engagement.
Extensive knowledge of state policymaking with an emphasis on California.
Excellent organizational skills and a strong written and verbal communicator.
Ability to work independently and exercise great judgment in a constantly changing environment.
Deep experience and understanding of state policy connection to land use, construction, real estate, infrastructure, or related industries.
Ability to understand local policy issues including zoning, planning, and development related issues.
Established ability to build and sustain relationships with legislators, regulators, and community and industry stakeholders.
