Role Overview
- Work directly with clients and ATIS team to process access requests (FOI and ATIP)
- Provide expert advice and disclosure recommendations
- Develop access policies, resources and programs
- Deliver training and support clients to fulfill duties for public access to records
- Conduct line-by-line reviews of records and provide redaction/disclosure recommendations
- Identify additional actions associated with ATI request processing
- Liaise with client executives and staff to ensure compliance and final recommendations
- Manage sensitive records with confidentiality and security
Requirements
- Diploma / degree in Information Management, Public Administration or a related discipline
- At least three years of experience with Freedom of Information / Access to Information legislation
- Keen analytical mind and exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver exceptional results
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads with multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- Highly organized and diligent with managing operational and transitory records
- Quick to learn new technology and experience with public sector software (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Pro)
- Strong communicator and writer
- Knowledge of Ontario MFIPPA/FIPPA & bilingual an asset
