After thorough onboarding, you will advise and support BAUHAUS specialist stores and internal departments as the technical point of contact for all software-related inquiries concerning Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
This includes handling inquiries related to national and international POS and cash management systems.
You will create change requests and review/approve them.
As part of quality assurance, you will occasionally perform functional tests for implemented requirements.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you will further develop the POS systems and their surrounding ecosystem and support user training for newly implemented features.
Requirements
Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration (BWL) or a comparable field; alternatively, completed commercial or technical vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist / IT management assistant).
Experience working on IT projects, preferably in the POS and/or retail environment.
Basic understanding of various IT areas (e.g., networks, Windows, databases, scripting languages, hardware).
Strong communication skills and an independent, proactive working style.
Strong customer and service orientation.
Good German and technical English skills.
