The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for accelerating growth and driving customer engagement with full accountability for the UK and Ireland business.
Define and execute the global sales strategy, including serving as the face of Avantor to key external customers and partners.
Drive sales for the regional’s business, developing strategies for product lines and target accounts.
Develop, drive, and nurture acquisition of new business by actively expanding services to current clients, and introduction of new clients into the Avantor ecosystem.
Monitor and analyze the competitive space.
Build, mentor and develop a team of high-performing sales professionals.
Requirements
20+ years of significant commercial experience in the life sciences sector across a variety of product lines.
MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Sales Management role leading commercial teams.
Strong ability to understand market trends and identify customer needs.
Self-assured, mature, and well-balanced personality, with excellent leadership, coaching and team building skills.
Language skills: English, other languages are a plus.
